Shara is a special education teacher by trade but has enjoyed training animals since she was young. She uses her understanding of teaching students with learning and behavioral challenges when working with dogs and their handlers. 

Shara began training her cocker spaniel Kayla in 2001 in obedience. However, due to Kayla’s medical needs they were never able to compete. Shara got Zoey in 2009 and started training in agility. They started competing in Canine Performance Events (CPE) 2011. Zoey has earned seven agility championships. 

In 2017 Shara trained with Kyra Sundance and became a certified trainer through Do More With Your Dog and has Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI), Canine Conditioning and Fitness Coach (CCF), and Stunt Dog Judge (SDJ) certifications. Shara is a Triple Crown Instructor, All-Star Trainer of the year (tricks) and silver medal fitness coach. 

Shara got Pepper, her third cocker spaniel, in 2018. Pepper has several DMWYD titles, as does Zoey. Pepper is now competing in CPE agility and Zoey is semi-retired. 

Shara has assisted with agility classes at Dog Paws Sports and has taught basic manners, tricks, and agility for fun at Happy Tails Pet Training in Milwaukee.
