Tina

Tina Grubor has been training agility about a year with Kiki, her American Eskimo. Kiki is 1½ years old and she is a very curious, high spirited and super smart pup - not to mention, super fluffy! Tina started Kiki in an obedience class and knew she would need more of an outlet than just walking in the neighborhood and an obedience class. A year ago in March, Tina met with Lynne. She evaluated Kiki and they began the agility training program at Redline.

Tina really just signed up for agility as something fun for her and Kiki to do together and for Kiki to release some energy. Through this class, she really fell in love with how it challenged both of them while keeping Kiki (and Tina!) mentally and physically challenged. It’s so exciting when your puppy is thinking, having fun and completing a course. You feel so connected to your dog when working together and Tina would love to be able to share that excitement with others who are just wanting to connect with their dog.

A few months later, Tina began the Handling & Procedures class, attended a 1-day seminar with Megan Foster and did 1-day mock trial. Tina absolutely fell in love with agility and now hopes that she and Kiki will be able to compete down the road when she’s ready.

Prior to Tina taking classes at Redline, her experience with training is only through teaching her dog (and past dogs) tricks on her own (sit, stay, down, paw, roll over, dead, etc.) and taking them to training. She is a certified 1-8th grade teacher, where she taught 7th grade before starting her own family and have taught adult computer classes.
